Regulatory and Funding Systems

wddIlifa is engaging with Network Action Group in the Ugu District of KwaZulu-Natal to support more efficient mechanisms for centre and non-centre based registration of ECD services. The project introduces factory-style workflow boards into services offices in order to assist social workers in identifying and addressing key constraints within the ECD registration and funding systems.

As part of this systems optimisation strategy, Tree is working alongside NAG in KwaZulu-Natal to develop training for social workers and environmental health inspectors on the registration of ECD centres and programmes.

Ilifa is also working on a number of ideas to increase the pool of funds allocated to ECD services. Watch this space.
