This position requires a skilled communicator with at least five years’ experience in the fields of journalism, public relations, communications or any related field. We want someone who can cut through the noise with compelling narratives in various media formats. We are looking for a critical thinker, a masterful storyteller, a strategist who can conceptualise and oversee the implementation of a communications strategy for an organisation in the systems change ecosystem, someone with attention to detail, clarity of thought, vision and excellent time management skills.

Ilifa Labantwana is seeking a passionate individual to advocate for and design health systems that acknowledge and prioritise the importance of pregnant women and children under the age of 2. This individual will also build a robust national support system for young children, parents, caregivers, and the workforce.

As the Director, you will cultivate strategic partnerships with key government officials, civil society, private sector actors, and donors. Additionally, you will lead the Side-by-Side campaign in partnership with the National Department of Health, enhancing its impact through research, partnerships, content creation, and cutting-edge communication strategies.
