This document is a literature review of the global evidence base for early learning programmes, focusing on their impact on social and cognitive development as well as school readiness. The review also examines the impact of parenting programmes, practitioner development, and programme resources in promoting early learning.   

The literature review was done by Andrew Dawes, Linda Biersteker, Elizabeth Girdwood, Matthew Snelling, and Jessica Horler in 2018 as part of the Early Learning Programme Outcome Study Baseline Report.
