Private funding of ECD in South Africa

Ilifa conducted a review of private funding of early childhood development in South Africa, with the goal of understanding current funding sources, their drivers and areas of focus.

The survey targeted the largest corporates listed on the JSE, local and international foundations and non-profit organisations operating in the ECD sector. The survey found that 85% of respondent were interested in collaborating with other funders to expand the reach and impact of ECD.
