Reimagining early childhood development through The Motherload lens

Tags: Responsive care

This presentation explores how reimagining early childhood development (ECD) through The Motherload lens requires shifting business and policy discourse to view care as a collective social responsibility rather than a private burden. Prof Jaga explores essential reform areas needed to build more equitable and thriving communities, including (1) policies and investments that free up women’s time; (2) expanding access to quality childcare, (3) enhancing transport and digital infrastructure; and (4) creating pathways for women’s skills development and economic participation.
