Early learning is a critical determinant of later educational and life outcomes, yet enrolment gaps persist in South Africa, particularly among disadvantaged households. This study investigates whether participation in early learning programmes (ELPs) is associated with improved developmental outcomes, and how programme quality and duration of exposure shape these associations.
