The statistical validation of the Quality Assessment and Support System (QASS) measure was undertaken by AX group in partnership with Genesis Analytics, on behalf of Ilifa Labantwana. The QASS, developed in collaboration with the Department of Basic Education in South Africa, aims to measure the quality of national Early Learning Programmes (ELPs). The QASS is designed to be completed by assessors, who provide ratings based on a combination of playroom observations, programme structure evaluations, practitioner interviews, and principal interviews.
