South African Child Gauge 2017

The 2017 issue of the South African Child Gauge focuses on the theme of Survive – Thrive – Transform – and explores how the Sustainable Development Goals can be used to create an enabling environment in which South Africa’s children not only survive, but thrive and reach their full potential. The South African Child Gauge is an annual publication of the Children’s Institute, University of Cape Town. It aims to report on and monitor the situation of children in South Africa, in particular the realisation of their rights. The publication focuses on a different theme each year.
